erik.gif (9751 bytes) Both Tom and Eric attended the Berklee College of Music: Tom with a dual major in Performance and Music Education and Erik with a dual major in Composition and Performance. Both were awarded the Berklee Faculty Association Award as well.

A trip to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado provided Erik with both the inspiration and influence for what was to become Acousticity's music. "In the week I spent over there, I composed many of the pieces we now play.  Upon returning home, I presented them to Tom and it was then that we decided to do some things together professionally."

Acousticity have been selected as finalists in several national original music competitions. They were chosen as one of twelve 'Best Unsigned Bands' in 1992 by Musician magazine. Their performances include Boston's First Night festivities, as well as the PBS radio show 'Homefront' before a highly enthusiastic studio audience. They were recently the house band for the live cable TV show "Mike Adams' Sportsworld" on NESN. Currently, they are showcasing their talents through extremely well-received concerts in the Boston area, sharing the stage with prominent performers including British guitarist phenomenon Adrian Legg, fingerstyle guitarist Pierre Bensusan and singer/songwriter Bill Morrissey. They also have just released their second album, 'Music For 20 Fingers' which features the contemporary synthesis of their influences and unique inspiration. tom.gif
